With the rapid economic development of urban construction projects, a variety of geological environment is increasingly prominent. Therefore, to carry out the urban engineering geological environmental quality evaluation, is not only to the project construction suitability has important guiding significance to the planning and construction, at the same time also can effectively achieve the geological environmental conditions, make full use of and protection human mutual coordination between engineering construction and the natural environment.Based on the field investigation,this paper analyzes the engineering geological environmental quality of the study area,and analyzes the suitability of the engineering construction,based on the field investigation in the area of 1:50000.Mainly achieved the following understanding and results:1. The study area is located in the eastern end of the GuanZhong Basin and north belongs to the warm continental climate. Area flat topography,geological structure is simple. The region can be divided into 5 micro geomorphic: the piedmont alluvial-pluvial fan,the modern diluvial fan,the WeiRiver level terrace,the High-bed and the low flood land. The study area are all in the quaternary strata. Engineering geology, rock and soil mass structure type of double(3) and multilayer strcture(10); There are 4 fault zone in the area,they are ChangAn-LinTong Fault,LiQuan-GaoLing-GuShi Fault,WeiNan YuanQian Fault and Jiaxinzhuang-Caiguocun Fault. The WeiNanYuanQian Fault and Jiaxinzhuang-Caiguocun Fault are Hholocene active faults,the ChangAn-LinTong Fault,LiQuan-Gao Ling-GuShi Fault are Late Pleistocene active faults.The new tectonic movement in the area is strong,and the main performance is the overall intermittent movement.The seismic intensity in the eastern part of the study area is 8 degrees,and the rest is 7degrees.The groundwater resources are abundant, the groundwater can be divided into 2 types:the quaternary alluvial and diluvial layer pore water, the quaternary alluvial and diluvial layer pore confined water.2. The main factors in the study area engineering geological environment including topography, lithology, poor geological, groundwater conditions, geological structure and human engineering activities strength,etc.3. The research development of geological disasters in the area, the main engineering geological problem is sand liquefaction potential, the loess collapsibility of soil and soil salinization, but harm degree and the scope is small.4. Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) to carry out the engineering geological environmental quality evaluation in the area,including the Foundation stability,the Crustal stablility and the Site stability.The region is basically stable crustal stability zone;the foundation stability and site stability can be divided into stable area,relative stable region and the unstable region;the foundation stability region covers an area of about 88.23 km2,accounting for 21.3﹪ of the total area of the study area,the relative stable region covers an area of aboat 291.68 km2,accounting for 69.4﹪ of the total area;the unstable region covers an area of 40.09km2, accounting for 9.5﹪ of the total area of the total area of the study area. Zone site region covers an area of 178.39km2,accounting for 42.5﹪of the total area;Site region relatively advocate a total area of 92.34km2, accounting for 22.0﹪of the total area; Poor site stability zone with a total area of 149.37km2,accounting for 35.5﹪of the total area.5. Engineering construction suitability analysis results show that the site engineering geological environment construction suitability better overall, suitable and appropriate construction area of 74.5%, not suitable region accounted for 25.5%, and mainly distributed in the range of 500 m around the fracture and the Weihe River valley and its tributaries,floodplain area. Although the region is not suitable as a more intense or important construction sities,but it is suitable for planners relatively scarce land types,such as afforestation and ecological development,etc.
