Hongliu area is the slope belt between Gunan sag and Kendong bulge, and it is a necessary migration place from sag to bump. It has sufficient sources of oil and gas, faults and sand as well as structure background controlled hydrocarbon migration and accumulation together. Guided by the modern theory of hydrocarbon accumulation, and use seismic, core, well logging and analysis data, the paper is conducted for comprehensive study of hydrocarbon accumulation on the basis of typical reservoir dissecting, at the core of hydrocarbon transporting system and migration path research, and for the purpose of accumulation potential analysis. The research of Kendong 6 fault activity is conducted using growth index method, and the fault activity in the accumulation period is weak or almost inactive. Using Rm and oil migration velocity method to study the current vertical fault sealing, as well as using lithologic docking coefficient and SGR to study the lateral fault sealing. The lateral sealing capacity of Kendong 6 faults is good, and the vertical sealing state on part of Es2 and Es3 s, Es3 z are open. The vertical sealing ability provide the access for hydrocarbon migration from Gunan sag to the slopes belt.Skeleton sand is the only channel for lateral migration of oil and gas on the slopes belt, and its degree of development and connectivity determines the direction of hydrocarbon migration path ultimately. We use seismic data, drilling data to preferred seismic attributes, and select average amplitude attributes to predict sand distribution, the sand of Es2 is more developed in the northern of the slopes belt, and the sand of Es3 s is distributed mainly in the northern of the slope belt and the southwest of Kenli fault, the sand of Es3 z is developed multi-stage and throughout the region. Using seismic wave impedence inversion restrained by well-log to study sand body connectivity, the sand body connectivity of Es2 is good, the bottom of Es3 s is bad, and Es3 z is good overall. In general the sand body connectivity has poor trend from north to south and from west to east.Using crude oil properties analytical method combined the structure background to determine the hydrocarbon migration. Most oil from Gunan sag migrate and accumulate in the northern to the southeast high site; and restricted to regional development of sand in the southern slope, the oil passing through Kendong 6 faults by vertical adjustment and lateral migration, migrate along the fault in effective sand.Studies suggest that the favorable oil source supply, good conducting conditions and the favorable tectonic setting become favorable accumulation factors in this area. The slope is closed to Gunan sag, and Kendong 6 reservoirs has formed, suggesting that it has oil source conditions; vertical opening faults and developmental skeleton sand as well as monoclinic structure background offer a good condition for hydrocarbon migration to the slopes; the development and the location of traps determine the possibility of hydrocarbon accumulation. And then we predict two favorable lithologic traps beside the northeastern and southern of Kendong 62 well.
