In order to investigate the contents and modes of occurrence of As,F and Hg in main coal seams from Dabaoding mine in Panzhihua,25 coal and rock samples of 15-3# and 18# seam were collected for proximate analysis,total sulfur analysis,elements content analysis,correlation analysis,cluster analysis and factor analysis.The concentrations of As,F and Hg were determined by ICP-MS,IMS and AMA 245 mercury detector.The average As concentration in Dabaoding coal is 2.58μg/g,ranging from 0.16 to 9.38μg/g;The average F concentration in Dabaoding coal is 130.431μg/g,ranging from 17.79 to 354.20μg/g;The average Hg concentration in Dabaoding coal is 0.08μg/g,ranging from 0.01 to 0.79μg/g.The concentration of F is much higher than As and Hg and the concentration of As is slightly higher than Hg in 15-3#,18# and the whole mine.Compared with world coal,the As,F and Hg concentrations are at normal level.The enrichment of As is normal followed Filippidids standard and not enrichment followed Gluskoter standard,while the enrichments of F and Hg are not enrichment followed two standards.Compared with coal in Changhebian mine,Sichuan,Chongqing,Guizhou,Yunnan,China,America, Australia,the Soviet Union,Greece and world,the concentration of As in Dabaoding coal is more than Australia and less than other areas,the concentration of F in Dabaoding coal is more than Guizhou,Yunnan,America,Australia,the Soviet Union,Greece and less than other areas,the concentration of Hg in Dabaoding coal is less than all selected areas.The content distributions of F in 15"3# and As,F,Hg in 18# are roughly the same:oncentrated at the bottom,the top and the clay-stone in middle part of seam and lack in coal. As and Hg in 15-3# are concentrated at coal nearby the bottom,the top and the clay-stone in middle part.It can be concluded by proximate analysis,total sulfur analysis,content analysis of As,F and Hg,major elements analysis,correlation analysis,cluster analysis,factor analysis and related literature that,As in Dabaoding coal mainly exists in clay mineral,silicate and aluminosilicate and maybe little exists in organic form or adsorbs on the surface of organic matter;F in Dabaoding coal may exists in clay mineral;Hg in Dabaoding coal may exists in clay mineral and organic compound.
