Living in the special time of the process of the change of Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty and the process of western science spreading in China, the west Calendar and astronomy was praised highly by the Qing dynasty and most of the Confucians, with of course, the fall of Chinese traditional Calendar and astronomy, Xichan Wang was raised as a Confucian with solid knowledge of Confucius classics, who had been loyal to Ming dynasty all his life, hold a different view towards the calendar and astronomy of both from Chinese and the west. He studied the books of Chinese and west calendar and astronomy and made the interaction between those a fact. He finish a Calendar book named<the calendar of Xiaoan>, which was almost the best calendar in his time. He contributed to the ideas of math and planet moving theory as well.By learning and studying the details of his inheritance, criticism and development towards both Chinese and west Calendar and astronomy, we discover that the Confucianism and the science may had interacted each other in a complex way. Confucianism provided Wang the Quality of science and affected the details of scientific knowledge and the transmission of science in some way. At the same time, science may have helped with the development of concept of the Confucianism, and happened to lead a trend of Confucianism named Shixue.The relationship between Confucianism and science is quite complex, for the next two reasons:First, Confucianism contains a variety of different theories; Second, Confucianism and science actually solves different problems. In this situation, this paper trys to analyze the influence of different ideological Confucianism factors on scientific research separately. After such an analysis, it is believed that Confucianism contains the ideological factors which are conducive to scientific research.
