The destructive Wenchuan Earthquake had triggered massive landslide disasters, which received significant attention on the ecological restoration effect of landslide sites. In order to study the ecological restoration effect of slipping slope engineering treatment in phoenix mountain of Leigu town in Beichuan County, firstly, three districts including landslide engineering control region, ambitus intact forest land and damaged natural restoration zone were selected to explore the effect of ecological restoration in engineering measure area using analysis methods such as determination of soil properties and plant community field investigation. Subsequently, the appropriate control measures of landslide were proposed after the evaluation model of ecological rehabilitation in Beichuan area had been established, thus enabling to provide theoretical basis and reference for the engineering management and ecological restoration work of landslide sites. It is concluded that:1) the herbaceous plants were dominant in engineering measure area, arbor and shrub plants made up only a small proportion of the plant community. The main species in reconstruction of plant communities were compositae, poaceae, fabaceae and rosaceae. The vegetation restoration in slope toe was faster than those at the top of slope in the project area.2) Furthermore, significant differences were found between landslide sites and intact forest land in the aspect of soil bulk density, pH, soil organic matter, total nitrogen and total phosphorus. The project area was superior to the natural recovery area in the aspect of existing soil properties; the mass fraction of nutrients in wire gabion soil were greater than the other engineering measures areas, nutrients in slope toe soil are more lucrative in the project area.3)Overall, the evaluation results were as follows:in the aspect of soils, the ecological restoration effect decreased gradually from soil bag ladder engineering measures (F=0.74), soil wire gabion engineering measures (F=0.72), natural recovery (F=0.71) to bamboo fence engineering measures (F=0.65) in order, in the aspect of slopes, the ecological restoration effect decreased gradually from slope toe (F=0.87), mid-slope (F=0.72) to the top of slope (F=0.63) in order.
