Using groundwater balance theory and on the base of the analysis of published geological data, hydrological data and meteorological data, we calculate the hydrological and hydrogeological parameters (i.e., coefficient of precipitation infiltration (a), coefficient of permeability (K), coefficient of transmissibility(T), specific yield (μ) and influence radius (R)) and evaluate the groundwater resources of Dalatulu water source region. Furthermore, we also assess the ecologic and environmental influence of the study area. As the results shown, the groundwater resources are rich and the aquifer storage capacity is strong for Dalatulu region. The natural recharge of groundwater resources is about 5857.56×104m3/a and the present net production is 1235.25×104m3/a. On average, the water equilibrium is in balance for many years. The results provide bases and supports to the groundwater sustainable utilization of agricultural water utilization and regional economic development.
