In recent years, seabed mud temperature has become an important parameter for undersea research, especially in the domain of oil pipeline laying under the sea and anti-corrosion protection. The research in this thesis is of important economic value and practical significance for the in-situ measure.This thesis is based on the analysis and research on the seabed temperature measurement technology at home and abroad, combining with the undersea environment. Following the principle of low-power, self-power, low-cost, a seabed and land dual temperature measuring instrument is developed with MCU C8051F320 as the core. The overall design of the instrument consists of host and slave computer. The slave computer is mainly for data collecting, processing and storage, the host computer is mainly responsible for data display and analysis.High accuracy, large measuring range, good stability platinum resistance PT100 temperature sensor is chosen for this design. For improving the accuracy, small error three-wire connection mechanism, unbalanced bridge measuring circuit and constant voltage source with a small current power supply mode is used. In order to reduce the error of PT100 caused by its self-heating, the current generated by the constant voltage source must be less than 1mA. The output voltage is too small to be converted by A/D, so signal amplifying is necessary. High-precision, low-power quad channel LM224 amplifier is used in this design to enlarge signal and match the voltage range of A/D conversion. Then the results of A/D conversion is converted into corresponding temperature value by software and is stored in the extended FLASH memory. Finally, result is uploaded to the PC through the most popular plug-and-play USB communication.C language is used in this software design, which is a structured language, supporting top-down structured programming technique. Making full use of these features of the C language in the software development, modularization program design method is adopted. The functions such as acquisition, storage and communication of the data by calling each module are realized the main program.The design of USB communication program is primarily realized with USBXPress development kit’s driver,communication API functions and the dynamic link libraries. Based on the characteristics of the object-oriented C++ language, VC6.0 integrated development environment is used to design host computer interface.In the last, simulation experiment proves that the scheme of the seabed mud rapid temperature measurement in this thesis is feasible. This scheme of the temperature measurement is of certain reference significance for the development of temperature measurement instrument.
