A Geographic datasets has great coverage,involving a wide range of disciplines. The Geographic researchers need to learn a lot of interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary Geographic data, which they can discover unknown relations and explore new knowledge from the complex Geographic data. However, the traditional sharing platform of Geographic data with the metadata as a core did not take full advantage of the specific time and space properties of Geographic datasets, resulting some problems that users often find the date inaccurately and incompletely. Therefore, it has important theoretical and practical significance for the Geographic date-sharing to study and build an effective Geographic datasets retrieval and achieve efficient and accurate Geographic datasets retrieval.The overall objective of this thesis is on the basis of the existing Geographic data retrieval research to develop research catering to the retrieval of geographical spatial datasets grid, build the retrieval of geographical spatial datasets grid, realize the efficient and accurate retrieval based on the geographical spatial datasets grid, promote management, integration and analysis of data resource in the work of the Geographic date-sharing, develop the theory and method of grid retrieval, and enhance service capabilities of the Geographic date-sharing.For the research, this paper intends to focus on three aspects:(1) Study on Geographic spatial datasets for multistage grid construction. Analysis and summary the time characteristics and spatial attribute characteristics of Geological data. Analysis the requirements and influence to the time characteristics of Geographic spatial datasets for the grid division method; analysis spatial accuracy and time accuracy of grid; analysis the computing performance and retrieval performance of the index. Based on the analysis of the above, theoretical framework is put forward building Geographical spatial data of multistage grid, designing a plan of Geographical data multistage grid.(2) Research and build on Index of geographical spatial data sets based on multistage grid. According to the multistage grid, Research the theories and methods that unified the time characteristics of Geographic spatial datasets; analysis the relationship between the time characteristics, spatial attribute characteristics and multistage grid solutions, study classification method on time characteristics and spatial attribute, As a theoretical basis, study on the index efficiency evaluation, building simulation data, to improve it.(3) Retrieval methods of Geographic spatial datasets based on index of multistage grid. Verify the principle and the technical feasibility of Geographic information grid. Designing the data storage structure and retrieval methods for Geographical spatial multilevel information grid. We can lay the foundation for the practical use of Geographic information grid.
