The finite N charcters of some observables which are sensitive to the shape phase transi-tions in nuclei, are studied in framwork of the interacting boson model, and find out those that can serve as the effective order parameters and distinguish the nucleis’orders throuth comparing them with the experimental data. Finally, we also study the large N behavior of the obsevables at the critical points of the first- and second-order phase transitions by using the program IBAR, which made the present study possible.
