Bird Diversity And Breeding Habits Of Black-tailed Gull On Dantuozi Island

Dantuozi Island is the core area of Chengshantou Coastal Landform National Nature Reserve in Dalian. Based on the situation of clearing the bird population quantity and the dominant populations of Black-tailed Gulls breeding, this study was from 2013 to 2014,partition of Dantuozi Island on the bird population and protected areas surrounding the birds fed to 18 surveys on the use of sample method and Black-tailed Gulls breeding process continue to follow-up investigation. Through the investigation, accumulated a large number of first-hand information, mainly to complete the study content: The breeding research of Black-tailed Gulls on Dantuozi Island, the bird diversity survey of Dantuozi Island as well as marine birds foraging site survey of Chengshantou region.Through investigation and research, the main conclusions are drawn as follows:(1) The Black-tailed Gulls on the Island most lay eggs in late May, each nest lay 2 to 3eggs. Brood birds fed every 2-3 times, the main food for small fish and other benthic worms.Nestlings generally born after 2-3 day old chicks after moulting, around the age of 7 days can walk, around the age of 35, fly out, about 40 days of age juvenile moult.(2) There were total marked 60 pieces of eggs in 30 nest, in which 11 pieces were missing,2 were founding sooner,4 pieces were abandoned, 1 chicks died after the shell is broken, the remaining 44 pieces were hatching normally. The eggs size of Black-tailed Gulls is(59.30cm-66.48cm) x(41.14cm-45.58cm), weight is 56.10g-66.13 g.(3) There are 15 kinds of birds on the Dantuozi Island, belonging to 9 families, 10 genera,12 species of birds belonging to category 5 flora. In addition, there are three species of birds are not easily classifiable. The main type of northeast, 5, Palaearctic type, and the entire North type and Oriental type the two, monsoon type A, the other 3 kinds of birds those who are not easily categorized can divided into generalized Palaearctic type. Summer birds is the major on the Island,14 kinds in all 15 species of birds are summer birds, 1 species is resident birds. In all birds, swimming birds and wading-up birds are both 4 kinds, songbirds are 3 kinds,climbing birds are 2 kinds, raptors and landfowl are each 1.(4) Of all kinds of birds in theSurvey,black-tailed Gull is the absolute dominant species,comprehensive survey average 7514; secondly for the Sea Cormorant, with an average 677;the rest of the population are in less than 100, the minimum number of is Macular Bittern and the Hoopoe, each with 1.(5) The Shannon-Wiener index of every month of the Island was all small, and the Shannon-Wiener index of every district in July was higher than that in May and June.. A total F index of Dantuozi Island is 0.56, G index is 2.21, G-F index is-2.93.(6) The investigation in the feeding of all observation points are the distribution of Black-tailed Gull. The Qingyun estuary is mainly herons, shorebirds and wading birds feeding,Dengsha estuary is mainly feeding Cormorants and Duck, Shicaocun is the main foraging site of Black-tailed Gulls, Egrets and Cormorants are often feeding here. The species and quantity of feeding birds in spring were higher than in summer.
