Urban wetland ecosystem as part of the city, is to protect the quality of the human environment, but also the producer of base material what is to maintain human’s production and livelihood, more importantly, it is an important ecological infrastructure to constitutes and impact of urban spatial structure. Nanchang As the capital city of Jiangxi Province, and in the plain wetlands of Poyang Lake Basin, has many rivers and lakes, rich wetland resources exist inside. However, due to the rapid development of social economy, the scale and speed of wetlands affected by human activities continues to expand and grow, changed the landscape pattern and ecological processes of wetland ecosystems, thus affecting the normal play its ecological functions. So research in the variation and evolution of Nanchang urban wetland landscape pattern, can make a reasonable proposal for planning and management of wetland resources protection and rational utilization for the city.In this paper, the basic theory and method is landscape ecology, which is to study on the situation and changes of wetland landscape pattern in Nanchang. The TM/ETM remote sensing data in 2000-2012 Nanchang as the underlying data source, and using landscape pattern indices method and dynamic analysis of landscape pattern, in support of some software such as ArcGIS, ERDAS, Fragstats, research on the changes and trends in wetland landscape pattern of Nanchang, the following conclusions:(1)Through analyzing the changes of land use types in Nanchang, we can learn that: from 2000 to 2012 in the structural changes in Nanchang land use showed a significant increase for urban construction land, reduction of cultivated land, wetlands and woodland area. In the total reduction area of wetlands, most reduced types are ponds and reservoirs and floodplain /swampy.(2)Seven administrative regions within the scope of the study, the largest rate of change is economic and technological development zone, West Lake District lower, farmland into urban construction land is the way of the major changes. The period of 2003-2004 is the fastest changing times, policy guidance for each zone is rapidly expanding, the urban landscape is also rapidly changed.(3)Landscape indices analysis on wetlands, rivers, lakes and other wetlands compared to the dominance of the largest floodplain / swamp higher complexity, ponds and reservoirs, and the highest degree of fragmentation of plaque types most affected by the other, so the landscape heterogeneity the higher the reservoir ponds and beaches/swamp, both the greatest impact on human activities.(4)Nanchang wetland landscape pattern change significantly during 2000 to 2012, at first, overall wetland landscape area totally reduce about 17.39km2; the patch area of different landscape types tend to be uneven, then the landscape diversity decreases; affected by human activities extent, the heterogeneity of wetlands landscape pattern at first increase and decline steadily.(5)In accordance with the transition matrix data of Nanchang 2000,2004,2008 and 2012. Overall Nanchang urban wetland landscape types, most turn out in the form of ponds and reservoirs and floodplain /swampy. the most obvious type is pond and reservoir. grass and paddy field is the transition phase type of floodplain / swampy.According to the Nanchang landscape structure change analysis results, This paper presents a proposal which use to rational develop and utilize Nanchang wetland resources: Strengthen dynamic monitoring and real-time data updates of wetland resources; Land remediation, optimization of urban wetland landscape pattern; Develop long-term planning of urban wetland.
