Long-term development and utilization of resources caused theover-consumption of natural resources, not only make severe deterioration of thelocal geological environment, but also lead to many potential geologicaldisasters. Therefore, research on regional geo-environmental quality evaluationis very significant to ensure security of people’s life and property and regionalhuman engineering activities.This paper takes Shuiyuguaun geological practice area as a research area, on thebasis of existing geological data and field investigation data, discusses the maingeological environment factors such as meteorological, hydrological,topography, stratum lithology, geological structure, seismic and geotechnicalengineering characteristics. By analyzing the types and characteristics ofgeological environment problems in study area, obvious regional distributionrules were discovered: strip mining (limestone, dolomite, etc.) is mainlydistributed in the west of Yulingou, ChenTaigou and Wujiagou, etc.Underground mining (iron ore, mines, etc.) is mainly distributed in HuyanMountain which located in the east side of Xiyechuan, we can enter into miningarea through Sigou, Dashuigou and Xiaoshuigou. Mining processing is mainlydistributed along the both sides of Xiyechuan road and riverbed. At the sametime, mineral development cause or induce geological disasters also exist acertain distribution:1) collapse is mainly distributed in both sides of Xiyechuanlike artificial excavation slope and open pit slope;2) debris flow caused bymineral development is mainly distributed around the open pit, underground mining and mining processing plant. While provenance of debris flow caused bynatural condition mainly appears in the east gully of Xiyechuan, most ofprovenances are broken mudstones;3) landslide disasters are poor developed inresearch area, investigation found several landslides all located in the west sideof Xiyechuan, except1is potential unstable landslide, the rest are ancientlandslides and are now in stable state. Mineral development also caused thedestruction of the surface water in the study area:1) mineral processingenterprises along Xiyechuan produce solid waste and pollute water quality;2)there exit household garbage and mineral slag along east side of Dashuigou,which result in poor water quality.Through the research of distribution, development, forming condition and effectof geo-environmental problems, combined with regional geologicalenvironmental quality evaluation system, three evaluation indexes of geologicalenvironmental quality evaluation in the study area are determined, includingregional geological environment condition; geological disasters and geologicalenvironment problems caused by mineral development; and human engineeringactivities intensity. Then the evaluation index is quantified, suitable evaluationmodel of research area is established, finally, using fuzzy-analytical method,geological environment quality is evaluated and geological environment qualitypartition map is formed.Finally, this paper compares the result of geological environmental qualitypartition and practical investigation, we consider that evaluation index andevaluation model to some extent is reasonable and reliable, which generallyconform to the actual situation, and the paper provides certain reference ofgeological environmental protection and recovery in Shuiyuguan area.
