Our country have a complex geographical environment,66%of the land is mountainousarea. With the rapid development of China’s urbanization process, the planning and constructionof buildings on the mountain area has become the inevitable requirement. The specialtopography has a significant influence on the wind pressure, wind speed and air turbulencestructure of the air flow, the distribution characteristics of the wind field in ground layer arecompletely different from the plan areas, and the wind loads on the buliding structure presentcomplicated features. But the current domestic research focus on the impact of the simplemountain model (two-dimensional or three-dimensional theoretical model) on the wind fieldcharacteristics which has limited guidance for the practical projects, and the study of the actualmountain terrain is still lacking, therefore it will have important theoretical and engineeringpractical significance to systematic research on the wind field variations of the mountainousterrain.In the paper, the research object is the actual canyon terrain of huang xian village in Ningbo.The wind field characteristics in ground layer are studied by the numerical simulation and fieldmeasurements. The paper mainly focuses on the following aspects:(1)The actual canyon terrain of huang xian village as the research object, thethree-dimensional surface modeling of complex mountains is achieved by the digital modelingmethod and the transformation between the digital elevation data and the CFD solid model isrealized.(2) The wind field characteristics in ground layer of the three-dimensional canyon terrain iscalculated using the numerical simulation methods, the effect of the wind velocity, wind angle,the taniguchi scale, the terrain trend, mountain slope, mountain distance on the of the mean windprofile and turbulence structure is explored. The variation of the velocity profile and turbulenceintensity on the observation points is got, the distribution of the wind field in ground layer isanalysed. According to the conclusions, the building micrositing from wind mitigationperspective is proposed.(3)The field measurement is carried out on six typical positions. The wind file characteristics are obtained from the observation data, and the results are compared with thecorresponding numerical simulation research, the similarities and the differences of the resultswhich were got by using two main approaches are analysed, then the reference for the study ofthe canyon topography wind characteristics is provided.
