The idea of this research work was appeared in a project of land change survey.Due to the large workload, the difficult to maintain spatial topological relations andthe error of attributes exist in the process of land change and data warehousingoperation, it is very important to find a method of automatic and intelligent for landchange and data warehouse operation. This article takes "changes—change typejudgment—entity change type judgment—the database update" for the general idea.At first, according to study of common spatial and temporal data model, I found areasonable description model; Then I got the space-time topologymodel witchdescribing topological relations of space-time data effectively in cadastraldatabasefrom research of common space-time topologymodel; Then I analyzed thesingle entity changes of the land, according to the rules of associatedchange I got thechange of a single entity and the change of associated entities; Based on the existingclassification of change type, I classified different types of land change with the rulesof associated change; Finally, according to the corresponding relationship of the landentities change type between database objects change type, I designedthe algorithmcode. Thus, realized the change start automatic judgment of physical changes,changes to the properties and the topological relationship maintenance, changes donestage of the data is changed in the database updates. The research results of this papercan provide the reference value of the land alteration of automation research.The paper’s main results are as follows:(1) Analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of a variety of spatial andtemporal data model and topology relation model and scope of application, combinedwith the characteristics of spatial and temporal data in land change, choose thesuitable for land change in object-relational data model and WID3method;(2)Researching the change type of single land entity and the rules of associatedchange, and describing the type of land entity change with WID3;(3)According to the common subdivision method of land change, I puttedforward the double change type judgment method, and got the types of land change. (4)Based on the research of the relation between the land entity change and thedatabase objects, I designed a series of algorithm for database updating, and designedan experiment system to authenticate the research content.
