Tianjin is abundant in geothermal resources in north China, it is facing many problemsincluding the local area resources is unclear, the development and utilization direction is unknown,So regional exploration and evaluation of geothermal resources is essential, and has practicalsignificance for high energy-based local economic development and reducing the environmentalpollution. This paper focuses on the following research:Based on the field survey, collect geothermal borehole data, including the coordinates ofgeothermal wells, extraction, recharge, water level, outflow water temperature;36indicatorsincluding HCO3, Na, Cl, SO4etc are analyzed in geothermal fluid samples using indoor instrumentanalysis; using heat storage and analogy method to quantitative calculate and evaluate thegeothermal geological conditions, the chemical characteristics of geothermal fluids, the quantityof geothermal resources, the development, utilization and protection of the geothermal resourcesThe main conclusions as follows: the study area belongs to the low-temperature geothermalfields in sedimentary basin, there are two types of geothermal reservoir, the porous type includingMinghuazhen and Guantao formation of Neogene group; and bedrock fractured type includingOrdovician group and Wumishan formation of Jixian group. heat reservoirs are two different typesof geothermal reservoir. the geothermal water chemistry type of Minghuazhen fluid is SO4Cl-Na,the Wumishan formation is Cl SO4-Na and Cl-Na, both originate from atmospheric precipitation.And the geothermal fluid of the two geothermal reservoir are moderately corrosive water, noproduction of calcium carbonate scale, calcium sulfate scale and calcium silicate scale.The results show that the total amount of geothermal resources for Tuanbo new city is433.46×1014kJ, the recoverable amount is18.72×1014kJ. the total static reserves of geothermalfluid resources is333.87×108m3, the allowable extraction volume is572×104m3/a, of which theallowable extraction volume for Minghuazhen formation is140×104m3/a; for Guantao formationis20×104m3/a; for Ordovician group is14×104m3/a; for Wumishan formation is398×104m3/a. theallowable extraction of geothermal fluid convert to heat is2.98×1013kcal within100years, whichequivalent to a middle size medium–low temperature geothermal field.Regional geothermal development evaluation show that Minghuazhen formation and JixianWumishan formation are appropriate for exploitation, the geothermal reservoir in eastern is themost economical mining region. Also proposed to strengthen the comprehensive utilization andreinjection work use of geothermal resources.This paper evaluates the geothermal resources for Tianjin Tuanbo new city, providesscientific guidance for Tuanbo new city of geothermal resource utilization.
