In order to improve the comprehensive performance of impregnated diamond bitmatrix, preferring of matrix material is a good solution. This study in drill bits, addingthe right amount of nano materials in the bit matrix, the sample preparation byhardness, flexural strength and abrasion resistance testing and fracture microscopiccharacteristics analysis, comprehensive evaluation of the feasibility of the method.The results show that: the addition of nano nickel powder can reduce the WC baseand Fe-based bit matrix of sintering temperature, hardness, strength and abrasionresistance in different degree. Meanwhile, in order to reduce the sintering temperatureof the matrix as a starting point, the optimum content to optimize its best sinteringtemperature and nano-nickel powder: for the WC matrix, the content of nano nickel is2.5%, the sintering temperature is880degrees centigrade, the most closely contactinterface between matrix and diamond; for the Fe matrix, the content of nano nickel is1%, the sinteringtemperature is870degrees centigrade, the most closely contactinterface between matrix and diamond; for WC matrix, adding amount of the CNTs is0.075%, the bending strength and the abrasion resistance are the best, the adhesiveability of the package inserts skeletal material is the best.Through the indoor drilling test, further that the nanometer material drill drillingspeed and wear resistance are improved. WC based bit containing nano nickel drillROP than those without nano nickel increase5.8%, the wear resistance increase1.4%.Fe based bit containing nano nickel drill ROP than those without nano nickel increaseof12.3%, the wear resistance increase14.5%. WC based bit containing CNTs drillROP than those without nano nickel increase of16.3%, the wear resistance increase26.4%.
