The landslide or plasmodium close to dam reservoir bank is always the focus ofwater conservancy and hydropower project construction, decisively affect the dam sitearrangement and he normal water level. BAILONG River, based on the area, environmental geological conditions, structure and characteristics of degeneration, theformation mechanism is analyzed; the stability under different working conditions iscalculated, providing detailed and reliable geological data for engineering designof the dam.(1) According to the strict, environmental geological condition, detailed studyingthe slope body structure, material composition, deformation and failure characteristicsof the landslide, it present obvious zoning features, and it always exists in layered,mid-deep dip angle, thick layers of hard rock around, and in the bedding rock slopewith thin layer of soft rock sliding zone.(2) The study on the deformation and failure characteristics of the landslidebefore and after the WenChuan earthquake shows that, the stability of the landslidehas no obvious change overall. Except partial deformation intensified in the early aditappears and only a few new tensile cracks with a few centimeters of the surface arises.(3) According to the abundant test results, combining the simulation analysisunder strength parameters and the inversion analysis of parameters, strengthparameters are selected reasonable. On this basis, detailed evaluation is conducted ofthe stability under different working conditions. The results show that the landslidesare always in stable-basically stable state, except to the earthquake condition underthe condition of no reduction of the coefficient. The calculation results and stablestatus quo are mainly consistent. (4) The protective measures taken in the leading edge of the landslide not onlyimprove the stability of landslide as a whole, but also avoid reservoir bank collapse ofthe leading edge after the reservoir impoundment.
