There in a long history in oil and gas exploration field, with which technologiesdevelopment also has its own history. Among of the technologies, seismicinterpretation and reservoir prediction is the most representative technology. Now,seismic data interpretation is mainly includes basin analysis, structure, formation,sedimentary and exploration of oil and gas. Accompanied by continuous developmentof the petroleum exploration and development, to find new oil and gas fields hasbecome increasingly difficult, the petroleum exploration is trending from relativelysimple type of structural reservoirs to lithologic and stratigraphic reservoirs. Thisprompted us to constantly improve and enrich the seismic data interpretationtechnology, improve the interpretation precision, promote the development of oil andgas exploration continuously.Structural interpretation technology was improved with the development ofseismic data level and the progress of interpretation means. It is the most basicresearch of seismic data interpretation. Should master the principle and the method ofcalibrating synthetic seismogram and interpretation mean of seismic eventcomparison. Prediction of favorable facies belt is the heart of the oil and gasexploration, the techniques of reservoir seismic prediction are a comprehensivetechnology series. With advances in seismic exploration technology, seismic reservoirprediction obtains the more and more extended application, and show gooddevelopment prospects.Biyang depression is a secondary sag locates in the south part of Henan province,50km long from east to west,30km north-south width, effective exploration area of800km2. It is a Mesozoic and Cenozoic terrestrial facies lake fault depression. Formedlargely by northwest Tanghe-Liyuan fault and northeast Liyuan-Biyang fault control.Divided into the north gentle slope structure zone, the south steep slope structure zoneand the middle sag structure zone. After thirty years of petroleum and gas exploration,its59.2%is ascertained, still there is1.4*108t resource remained for exploring. But,along with the gradually into the high mature stage of exploration, difficulty ofexploration becomes more serious, the exploration targets become more complex. Lithologic composite trap in particular has much margent for exploration. Therefore,in the Biyang depression continue to conduct the study of structure interpretation andreservoir.The study area is GC-BD area, the west is GC nose structure, the east is WJ nosestructure, Study area mainly includes middle-east of GC oilfield and DP oilfield. Themain exploration target is Palaeogene Hetaoyuan, reservoir locate in fanned delta andbraided river delta environment, which leads to fast changes of facies and seismicvelocity as well as diagenetic inhomogeneity. The reservoirs consist of thin inter bedsof sandstone and mudstone. The types of traps include fault-nose, faulted block andstructural lithological pattern. According to the structure characters, we use subtlehorizon labeling, seismic data section interpretation, coherent data volumeinterpretation, and variable velocity mapping to make the fine structure interpretationmore effective. At the same time, we also used seismic attribute analysis technologyto accomplish fine reservoir prediction, and accurately predict the sand-bodydistribution, and guide the exploration and development work.Taking Biyang Depression as an example, this work has done the comprehensiveseismic interpretation and reservoir evaluation. Finally we have gotten the resultstructural map, The key of exploration is according to sedimentary microfaciesanalysis looking for high quality channel sand-body, through forward modeling, webelieve the channel sand-body showed a set of complex wave type. Base on the theoryof seismic sedimentology, we interpreted the sand-body enveloping surface tointensify the channel sand-body lithologic interpretation, and provide a solidfoundation for the channel sand-body prediction. Combine with the attributiveanalysis of target horizons to predict the distribution of sand-body, we get thefavorable of exploration regional.
