Allelopathy is a common phenomenon in nature, the research on allelopathy has practical significance in agricultural production. Suaeda glauca is an preferred plant species in improvement and utilization of saline alkali soil, has good advantage in improving saline alkali soil and agriculture development. In this experiment, S.glauca and its seeds were used as experimental materials, the stems or leaves of S.glauca were collected from native grassland in Changling County,Jilin Province(North-East China) in September 2012, S.glauca seeds were collected in October 2009. Different concentrations of aqueous extracts of the stems or leaves of S.glauca were collected with water, different salt environment was simulated with NaCl,and the mixtures of NaCl solution with the stems or leaves of S.glauca were got using the two solution. Effects of salt solution, the aqueous extracts of stems or leaves of S.glauca, and the mixture of them were investigated, in terms of gas exchanges, antioxidant enzymes,MDA, proline, total phenolics and cation of S.glauca seedlings. The results of gas exchanges showed that salt solution, the aqueous extracts of stems or leaves of S.glauca had remarkably synergistic effect on S.glauca seedlings, the overall effect was that salt solution had a promotion effect on the allelopathy of extracts from S.glauca, the effect on stems was more obvious than leaves. The results of antioxidant enzymes showed that salt solution, the aqueous extracts of stems or leaves of S.glauca had remarkably synergistic effect on S.glauca seedlings. The overall effect was that high concentration of salt solution(300 mmol·L-1 NaCl)had a inhibition on the corresponding allelopathy of aqueous extracts from stems of S.glauca, had a promotion or inhibition on the corresponding allelopathy of aqueous extracts from leaves of S.glauca. The results of MDA showed no synergistic effect on S.glauca seedlings. Either salt solution or extracts of S.glauca both had a effect that low concentration showed promotion, high concentration showed inhibition on total phenolics, but the miture of them didn’t show synergistic effect. The extracts from the stem of S.glauca and salt solution had no synergistic effect on proline, but the aqueous extracts from the leaves of S.glauca and salt solution had, it was showed that high concentration of salt solution had a promotion on the corresponding allelopathy of leaves from stems of S.glauca. The results of cation showed that the aqueous extracts of stems or leaves of S.glauca had remarkably synergistic effect on S.glauca seedlings. Compared with single treatment of S.glauca extracts, mixture treatment increased the the content of Na+and Na~+/K~+, salt solution had a promotion on the allelopathy of extracts from S.glauca.In summary, both salt solution and the aqueous extracts of stems or leaves of S.glauca had effect on the seedling growth. Salt solution showed salt stess, the aqueous extracts of stems or leaves of S.glauca indeed had allelochemicals showing allelopathy stess.Compared with single treatment of S.glauca extracts, mixed with salt solution increased the stess effect, moveover stems was more obvious than on leaves. So salt solution, the aqueous extracts of stems or leaves of S.glauca indeed had remarkably synergistic effect on S.glauca seedlings.
