As one of enclosed lakes in Inner Mongolia Plateau, Huangqihai plays an significant role in indicating climate change in arid region. A number of studies had been finished about the climatic change on different time scales. Because the limitation of profile and dating methods, the sedimentary records about Pleistocene wasn’t involved in. To reconstruct high-accuracy climate change, sedimentary records over the long time scales needs to be found. So Hangqihai, which lies in Inner Mongolia, is taken as working area to reconstruct the characteristic and law of climate change since 14000 years.Based on AMS 14 C dating of sediments, precise age framework since 14000 years was established through the CJC section in Huangqihai, Inner Mongolia. By combining the feature of grain size, magnetic susceptibility and other environmental proxies, it’s thought the environmental changes since 14000 years in Huangqihai can be divided into four stages: 14.5-10.6cal.ka BP, water power was unstable but existed still water phase. The weathering was weak and climate was cold. It was formation stage; 10.6-7.8cal.ka BP, water power and weathering were stronger. The lake level rose and the climate became warm. The aggression of lake was happened; 7.8-3.9cal.ka BP, water power changed from strong to weak alternately. The lake level was highest and the climate was warm and wet; 3.9-0.9cal.ka BP, the weathering was weak, lake level went down. The climate became cold. The climate change of Huangqihai since 14000 years was consistent with global climate change. But as the regional differences of geographical location and hydrological condition, it has some differences in time period of typical climate change event. By comparison of global climate change and regional response, it’s thought that the major factor which influences climate change of Huangqihai is global climate change. It made an impact on the regional climate and temperature.
