Tabuge is one of the key prospecting area for 11 th five-year plan of 1:50000 strategic minerals prospection survey in Alxa, Inner Mongolia autonomous region. Up to now, the mineral exploration about this area is poor, no breakthrough in prospecting and exploration has been taken in this area, no can be used deposit has been found in this area even the nearby area. Based on this, we studied and extracted the gold polymetallic ore information of Tabuge area, evaluated and predicted gold and copper resources by GIS tecgnology, wish to have positive significance to guide regional prospecting.The metallogenic geological background is superior in Tabuge area, after the 1:50000 strategic mineral prospection survey we have carried out, lots of gold and copper mineral points, geochemical anomalies have been found in this area. This paper based on the analysis of gold and copper polymetallic metallogenic geological condition, by the lots of data about the formation, structure, magmatic rocks,geophysical, geochemical and remote sensing in this area we have collected systematically, studied the typical gold and copper deposits’ or mines’ or mineralization pionts’ geological characteristics deeply, summarized the mineralization enrichment regularities, extracted the ore deposit-related geoanomly information, and finally, delineated the metallogenic prospect areas and prospecting target areas by using GIS of mineral resources comprehensive quantitative evaluation technology. Through this study, we got the main points as flowing:First, the main geology bodies which bearing the gold and copper ore-body are the Upper Carboniferous Benbatu formation volcanic rock and the Permian biotite granite, mineralization closely related to magma hydrothermal and tectonic hydrothermal.Second, structures is the main ore-controlling factor, especially the structures in the Benbatu formation.Third, according to the geological, geochemical, geophysical, remote sensing information we have got, we have determined in the Tabuge area, the advantage minerals are Cu, Au, Ag in Tabuge area, the main deposit types may existing are altered rock-related(porphyry?) copper gold silver deposit, such as the Chagandele copper gold polymetallic deposit, Chakeertaolegai copper gold polymetallic deposit, the volcanism or ubvolcanic jet or hydrothermal process-related hypabyssal hydrothermal type gold deposit in low temperature, such as the Zhagaituamagaole gold deposit, ductile shear zone type gold deposit, such as Bayingaole gold deposit, magma hydrothermal or tectonic hydrothermal-related gold and copper deposit, such as Delewulan silver and gold deposit.Fourth, basing on the theory of geological anomalies, we extracted the ore-related information including formation, structure, magmatic rocks, geophysics, geochemistry, remote sensing in Tabuge area, set up the association between the ore-related geological information and mineralization, and established the ore-prospecting criteria for gold and copper deposit.Fifth, by the GIS technology, we carried out the ore-forming quantitative prediction and mineralization vision zone by the evidence of metallogenic quantitative prediction methods. After this work, we have delineated five metallogenic prospect areas, among them, two A type, one B type, two C type, and for each prospective area we have evaluated quantitatively, and finally provided a train of thought for further prospecting in this area.
