The plain reservoir in Shandong province were built in the Yellow River alluvial plain, these areas are lack of water resources and the groundwater quality is poor. Plain reservoirs are generally built in the area of relatively low-lying land, and the groundwater level of these areas are very shallow. Generally, the reservoir will not have a big adverse impact on the groundwater quality after completion. However, reservoir water leakage will change the groundwater flow field near the reservoir, and may cause soil salinity, water immersion and other environmental hydrogeological phenomena. Therefore, it is great significance to study the groundwater environment of plain reservoir under the hydrogeological conditions in the alluvial plain of the Yellow River.Boxing reservoir is a typical reservoir of the alluvial plain of the Yellow River.Through analyse the plain reservoir’s engineering characteristics, hydrological characteristics, ecological characteristics, I have choose some research methods targeted.Such as data collection, field monitoring, environmental hydrogeological test, numerical model etc.. whereafter, I study and analyze the influence of the whole life cycle (construction period, service period, after the period of service) of the plain reservoirs in the Yellow River alluvial plain, and propose the measures and tactics of the groundwater environmental protection.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:1. Generally,in the alluvial plain of the Yellow River reservoir, the general terrain is flat, groundwater depth is shallow. The reservoir water level is generally high, and is much higher than the groundwater level near the groundwater level.2. The affected area of the Yellow River engineering strata are mainly alluvial sediments of Quaternary loose deposits. The lithology is mainly clay, loam, sandy loam and silt. Influenced by the composition of its particles and the crack, the pore structure, it has the medium permeability and the underground water contact closely.3. The affected aquifer is mainly shallow phreatic aquifer, with high degree of mineralization in some areas, such as the Boxing reservoir. Groundwater in engineering area has closely relation with surface water, mainly excreted through the surface water system.4. The main factor of groundwater environment is construction waste water, construction workers living sewage and running reservoir leakage in the construction.5. The adverse effect of the construction waste water and the construction workers living sewage to the groundwater environment is mainly the pollution groundwater quality. But its period is short, the amount of water is small, it is easy to prevent and treatment.6. According to the analysis results and forecast, leakage of reservoir caused ground water level rising around the reservoir after the operation of the reservoir.The overall display from the reservoir is near the ground water level rise higher and higher. Under the normal condition of Boxing reservoir, the reservoir leakage has little effect on the groundwater level, and it does not produce the surrounding immersion and secondary soil salinization. Under the condition of the accident, the leakage of Boxing reservoir has a certain effect on the water level of the surrounding groundwater. The south side and the east side of the dam may be cause immersion and secondary soil salinization in the 100m range.Therefore, take engineering measures such as seepage, seepage interception ditch is necessary for reservoir of the Yellow River alluvial plain.7. After the expiration of the service period of the reservoir, through the drainage buildings all normal drainage, generally will not affect the groundwater environment.8. The proposed unified collection of construction waste water and domestic sewage during construction.And take oil separation, precipitation and other treatment measures, then reuse or standardized emission.9. We should strengthen the project management and operation of the ground water level monitoring, to prevent the occurrence of accidents. When founding the failure of the impermeable measures, we should take measures to deal with as soon as possible.
