Rift basin was first put forward by Gregory at the end of 19 th century when he study the east African rift valley, refers to the lithosphere plate for back to horizontal motion or mantle uplift tectonic development, on the landscape in the form of symmetrical or asymmetrical deep concave in the middle of the valley, based on the tectonic environment and the dynamics of basin formation background, tensile fracture rift basin is caused by the earth’s crust, but the cause of tensile fracture tectonic environment and dynamic background may belong to the tension, strike-slip, even extrusion, according to the tension-rift type rift basin classification method, namely according to the lithospheric stretching characteristics, will rift basin is divided into two categories: active rift basins and passive rift basins.Based on the analysis of formation mechanism of Hailer-Tamtsag Basin, the basin’s foothold in Songliao basin, Bohai Bay basin and active rift basin and Muglad basin and Melut basin in west Africa more mature understanding of typical passive chasmic basins, first of all, the active and passive lacunae, structure, sedimentary basin formation and petroleum geological characteristics such as comparison, analysis of the characteristics of two different lithospheric stretching basin, the field of typical characteristics of difference, found no mantle heat on the passive crack basin genesis material arching, fracture form steep structure aspect, small elongation, deposition rate is small, deposit scale, rift period without volcanic activity, ground temperature is lower and the sedimentary facies sequence for intermittent lake, river sediment, multiple sequence on performance coarse, fine, coarse cycle, alternating between sand and mud deposits, small single layer thickness of source rocks, only development in fault depression period, hydrocarbon generation time is long, the hydrocarbon expulsion efficiency is high, the oil and gas reservoir at the source, distribution, and active rift basin differences in 14 parameters, and combined with the characteristics of these aspects tower sea basin, a comprehensive contrast of formation of the sea tower basin is not random, but did not fully tend to cause of the mechanism of the existing two kinds of typical basin, finally, re gconize Hailer-Tamtsag Basin is a multiphase basin type composite formed a special basin formation mechanism.Quantitative analysis of formation mechanism, structure, sedimentary and accumulation characteristics of control role of petroleum geology study of Hailer-Tamtsag Basin has an important guiding role, in view of the later and early Nantun period hydrocarbon source rocks, cause development respectively in two different environment, and points out its oil and gas migration and accumulation preservation conditions and modes are also different, the pass ive nature of the basin controlled type of pan basin stratigraphic structure and nature of the active crack basin control development small rift lake basin group of "double entry" type of strata structure, control the development characteristics of the hydrocarbon source rocks at the same time, to control the generation of different types of oil and gas accumulation mode. Research results: the surface passive lacunae between thin layer properties control the hydrocarbon source rock and sandstone sedimentary development mode, it classifies type oil and gas enrichment mainly by early stretch fracture control; And active chasmic properties control large set of mudstone hydrocarbon source rock development mode, its main crops grown on oil and gas reservoir type is long-term development of fracture control.The research above will have good practicability and popularization to guide the research of central Asia east section of Mongolia tectonic domain a series of in-depth exploration of double small rift lake basin group. To expand, including Hailer-Tamtsag basin, central Asia Mongolia structural belt in a series of passive rift basin or with characteristics of superimposed basin basin exploration potential evaluation of regional resources, and to speed up the pace of crack basin oil and gas exploration has theoretical value and practical significance, at the same time to improve the crack basin containment theory is of great significance.
