A pulsar possesses a strong magnetic field, due to its magnetic axis not coinciding with the axis of rotation, which makes the existence of the electromagnetic radiation. Pulsar’s rotational energy is able to compensate for the energy radiated by the electromagnetism, which deduces a gradual slow down of the pulsar. According to the theoretical derivation, we predict the initial period of the Crab Nebula pulsar, and derive the period evolution at any time in the future. Since a quadruple deformation of the mass distribution of pulsars, gravitational wave radiation will reduce the rotational speed of the pulsar. In further analysis, the influence of gravitational waves on the spin period of Crab pulsar is taken into account. Finally, the two kinds of radiation mechanism models are combined, and further analysis of the evolution of the spin period of pulsar is studied.
