A Study Of Tosaka Jun’s Thoughts On Technologic Philosophy

In 1920 s and 1930 s, a new wave of research on Marxism occurred in Japan,which studied and spread Marxism widely, obtaining lots of research achievements of Japanese Marxism. These Marxist researchers analyzed the technique phenomenons which gradually had great impact on society with the research and criticism of Marxist philosophy, forming the wave of research on Japanese philosophy of technology, and emerging many famous Marxism philosophy of technology philosophers such as Hajime Kawakami,Tosaka Jun and Kiyoshi Miki, and Tosaka Jun was one of the outstanding representatives who was devoted himself to spreading and studying Marxist philosophy, and contributed to the success of “Materialism Seminar”established by himself, abiding by Marxism in his whole life. His philosophy research focuses on the philosophy of technology and science and other fields. He was the pioneer of Japanese theory of technology,and put forward the “Labor system of technology” to interpret the essence of technology from a new aspect according to the research of philosophy of technology from the perspective of materialism and categorize the technology, which were very significant and had important academic value. He comprehensively analyzed the issues about the technical experts, technology and ideology, technology and intelligence,and he made the technology apart from the category of natural science,instead, he carried on dialectical materialism research on technology from the perspectives of social science, humanity and history.This thesis aims to study the development of the theory of technology in times of economic crisis in 1930 s, and explore the Tosaka Jun’s philosophy of technology and study the profound meaning of his technological concept and the essence of technology and comprehensively illustrate the ideas and special significance of the philosophy of technology. This thesis also extracts the essence of philosophy of technology from Tosaka Jun’s technological philosophy and sorts them outto form the basic framework of the philosophy of technology, and aims to learn more about Tosaka Jun’s philosophy of technology. This thesis attempts to improve the research system for Japanese philosophy of technology to make up for the deficiency of domestic research on Tosaka Jun’s philosophy of technology.
