With the continuous development and progress, the catastrophic waves as one ofnatural disasters that can not be ignored, increasingly get people’s attention, where thecontact between catastrophic coastal wave and people is the most direct and frequent.Severe coastal nearshore wave for offshore infrastructure, industrial productionoperations, fisheries, aquaculture and other fishing-related industries have a profoundimpact. The healthy development of China’s marine economy with perfect assurancemechanisms are inseparable, therefore, real-time forecasting wave elements areimportant through researching the formation and development of wave propagation inwave numerical simulation. This paper uses the latest version of the third generation of nearshore shallowwater wave model SWAN40.91(Simulating Waves Nearshore), with WRF (WeatherResearch and Forecast) wind field in high accuracy and FVCOM tidal current field infinite volume and unstructured grids as the driving field. In combination with the twocircumstances, from the views of calculation model, mesh pattern, coupling style, thenumerical prediction model for the Bohai sea are studied enrich and improve. Finally, according to engineering practice, under different reflection conditions, the waveelement changes in two different slope embankments are simulated near Caofeidianwaters. In calculation mode, using the large multi-threaded workstation advantages, parallel computing compared with serial computing can effectively improve theoperation efficiency. In grids the structure and unstructured grid are used, in whichsimulation accuracy of the unstructured grid is higher than another one.In couplingstyle the feasibility of tidal current model is validated.Considering the trend of thefield or not and surface flow or average flow, the results did not changesignificantly, whether it is surface flow and the average flow as the mode of entry. To give wave energy conversion device some theoretical reference forconfiguration options in different environment, the paper based on the form of wavemotion and the range of wave action comprehensively considerated, simulates thewave model respectively for two hydraulic structures in land and sea. In the influenceof different reflecting conditions, the significant wave height and the average periodchanges are discussed by selecting the characteristics of several hydraulic checkpoints near the buildings.
