Insects of Epuraeainae are generally small in size, have complex habits and trophicdiversity and widely distributed. Some groups are pollinators or cotton pests. Some speciesspreading pathogens, causing harm to plants. In this paper, insects of Epuraeinae were studied using traditional methods. The researchon the subfamily Epuraeainae for both Chinese and worldwide fauna is reviewed. Themorphology is described. The geographical distribution of generic and specific taxa fromChina are analysed. In this thesis,3genera,5subgenera, and47species are treated, of which3species are new and8species are newly recorded from China. The habitus photos of22species are provided and the male genitalia are illustrated. A catalogue of the Epuraeinae ofthe world is listed.New species and new records from China are as follows:Epuraea (Micruria) lanuginosus sp. nov., Epuraea (Micruria) pulligonis sp. nov.,Epuraea (Epuraea) subitarius sp. nov.Epuraea (Haptoncus) picinus Grouvelle,1906n. rec., Epuraea (Epuraea) durula Reitter,1919n. rec., Epuraea (Epuraea) longula Erichson,1843n. rec., Epuraea (Epuraea) oblonga(Herbst,1793) n. rec., Epuraea (Epuraea) pliginskyi Kirejtshuk,1994n. rec., Epuraea(Epuraea) tenuis Jelinek,1978n. rec, Epuraea (Micruria) convexa Grouvelle,1908n. rec.,Epuraea (Micruria) japonica (Motschulsky,1861) n. rec.Examed specimens are deposited in the Northwest A&F University (NWUAF) and theInstitute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IZAS).
