The survey data of earthquake damage and theoretical analysis have shownthat the soil condition of site has a significant impact on the seismic characteristic.The analysis of seismic characteristic to different soil layer has importantsignificance in the study of site effects and structural design. The study of soillayer seismic characteristic is the important content of seismic risk analysis andsite safety evaluation, and the soil layer seismic parameters direct affect thereliability of engineering structures seismic design. With the increasinglywidespread use of seismic micro-zonation technology, the research of soil layerseismic characteristic has important theoretical significance and engineeringapplication value.The study of soil layer seismic characteristic mainly use theoretical analysisand calculation methods based on soil constitutive relations, and the calculationmethod based on the equivalent linear model is used widely. The researchersdevelop different equivalent linear calculation programs based, and have someresearch results on soil layer seismic characteristic. With further research, thelimitations of existing methods have become increasingly prominent. Thereliability of existing methods is needed verification by seismic date, and the soillayer seismic characteristic should be further studied by seismic date.Aiming at these problems, the article select observation stations and seismicrecords from Japanese KiK-net strong-motion seismograph network, and establishChina’s soil seismic ground motion databases according to the site type criteria ofChina’s "Code for seismic design of buildings". The article use seismic records andsite soil characteristic parameters, statistical and analysis soil layer seismiccharacteristic of different types of site.The main work and achievements in this thesis are as follows:(1) summarize the research status and significance of the site soil layerseismic characteristic, introduce the common research methods of the soil groundmotion characteristics–the method based on theoretical calculations and themethod based on strong motion records.(2) select11Class Ⅰ site and66groups records,20Class Ⅱ site and139groups records,30Class Ⅲ site and248groups records,9Class Ⅳ site and60groups records from Japanese KiK-net strong-motion seismograph networkaccording to the site type criteria of China’s "Code for seismic design of buildings",and establish China’s soil seismic ground motion databases.(3) use records and soil conditions of site, analyze the influence of differenttype site’s soil layer characteristic parameters and the input amplitude to PGAamplification factor and response spectrum amplification factor.(4) analyze and contrast soil layer seismic characteristic of different type sites,give otherness of the different type sites’ soil layer seismic characteristic, andobtain preliminary fitting relationship.
