Collapse column is widely distributed in North China. The existence of collapse column not only affects the reasonable arrangement of the face, decreasing the coal reserves, reducing the efficiency of mechanized mining and more important impact production safety of the mine. Therefore,it is important to understand the geology of collapse column and choose a reasonable geophysical methods to detect the occurrence of column collapse.Now the country has put a lot of work in this regard.Currently a more effective method of probing column collapse is seismic exploration method.Its based principle is the significant wave impedance difference between the column collapse and peripheral rock.When stimulate artificially on the ground,we can receive different seismic response characteristics because of the exist of wave impedance difference. Based on the above principles,we compare and analyze the seismic response characteristics in the the seismic wave field from the theoretical and practical aspects of different internal structures of the collapse columns.So it can provide some theoretical and practical basis to explain collapse column. To achieve the above object of study,this paper first describes the geological characteristics of collapse column in detail, such as the formation of geological features, distribution and internal structure. So that we have an overall geological understanding for collapse column. Then described the basic principles of geophysical and seismic characteristics of collapse column forward modeling. According to these principles,we use Tesseral2-D full-wave field simulation software package to build the geological mode of collapse columns of the different internal structure. Then simulate and get different shot records.We deal with these single shot records and obtained level stack after stack section and migrated section.Compare and analyze theses time profile,we can get the similarities and differences from the collapse column of different internal structure in the time profile of the seismic response. Finally, combined the example of three-dimensional seismic exploration of Kaiyuan Yangquan Coal Mine, we compare and analyze the time simulated profile and the time profile of the real exploration. The results obtained from this paper has a certain theoretical and practical significance for the follow-up study of collapse column.
