I am on June7,2011-2012on October17, in Honghe Nature Reserve observational study of the behavior of the summer and autumn of red-crowned crane. A total of24red-crowned crane are observed, among adult red-crowned crane are16, david crane are8. The observation that the same type of behavior in summer and autumn red-crowned crane, They include:Feeding, walking, Preening, Alert, Resting and Others(occasionally fighting, tweets, etc.).Each summer and fall time budget proportion have similarities and differences, summer time allocation ratio of each behavior are:Feeding53.67%,Walking22.92%, Preening6.39%, Alert10.20%, Resting6.41%;Others0.41%. Fall time allocation ratio for each behavior are: Feeding51.31%,Walking20.05%, Preening5.60%, Alert7.38%, Resting14.98%,Others0.68%. The variety of behavioral changes of Red-crowned Crane over time has its own characteristics in summer and autumn, The second Feeding peak advance about1h in autumn than in summer, and Resting curve peak of Red-crowned Crane is also more higher in autumn than in summer. Comparison of different seasons on adult red-crowned crane and david crane in behavioral, each time the behavior of adult crane allocation ratio varies. David crane increased preening behavior through learning in autumn than in summer. About male and female red-crowned crane allocation of time in a variety of behaviors, Male crane take on more Alert task both in the summer and fall, Other behaviors change with food abundance, vegetation height varies in protected areas.
