Soil erosion is soil and its parent material in the hydro, wind, freezing and thawing, gravity andso on under the action of external agent, destruction, erosion, transportation and deposition process. Soilerosion not only lead to degradation of land resources, water and soil loss, and cause a large amount ofsediment accumulation, intensifying the flood threat to downstream; Also sped up the process of landdesertification, worsening ecological environment, the serious threat to human survival and development.Soil erosion empirical model can start from the basic causes of erosion and sediment yield, according to thepractical observed data, using mathematical statistics method, set up different watershed sediment yield andmain factors to affect the empirical relationships, guide the watershed configuration of soil and waterconservation measures and strengthen the optimization of water and soil resource utilization, for theprotection of ecological environment, achieving sustainable economic and social development plays animportant role. Along with the rapid development of GIS technology, based on research of the plug-in insoil erosion empirical model system has been highly accounted by people.System development in the traditional soil erosion empirical model, generally according to theoverall design of the model, step by step to complete the software’s function, finally developed a completesoftware system. In this way, the development model of the system is not very good modularity, reusability,expansibility and maintainability. Based on plug-in GIS development approach, has obvious advantage onfunction reuse and software integration, and to expand the function of the increasingly diversified demandfor dynamic, thereby saving a lot of repeated development tasks, for writing complicated structure, demandfor the varied soil erosion empirical model is an ideal choice. This article will combine soil erosionempirical model and plug-in technology, system development using the efficient software developmentmode, design of dynamic extension ability of GIS application framework, in order to achieve flexiblesystem configuration, dynamic loading of the function plug-in and it is easy to expand the system toprovide the solution for the soil erosion model system.This article based on the actual demand of soil erosion model, through the analysis of soil erosionmodel structure and the characteristics of the plug-in development framework, in. NET development environment, using the ArcGIS Engine development kit, with the aid of loose coupling mechanism ofplug-in technology, in the form of a custom plug-in interface, built an effective soil erosion empiricalmodel of GIS system. The soil erosion empirical model system is divided into two parts, the frameworkplatform and the function of plug-in. Respectively on the framework and function of the plug-in detaileddesign platform, has realized the plug-in with soil erosion empirical model system. The main thesiscontents include:(1) In regard to the development of the framework implements the plug-in framework of GISplatform, and soil erosion empirical model from the contract, the plug-in container, plug-in Engine and ahost program and so on has carried on the analysis and design, probes into the construction based onArcGIS Engine key technology and method of soil erosion model framework platform.(2) The development of the soil erosion empirical model function plug-ins. Respectively thebasis of designing the general map operations and engineering file management, basic plug-in terrainanalysis plug-ins, according to the sand empirical model structure, defines the various factor calculationplug-in, empirical model erosion evaluation plug-in and model results visualization plug-in, the codingimplementation; And implements the plug-in framework platform dynamic loading.(3) Application system development of plug-in type of soil erosion empirical model, the lonemountains and rivers in the loess plateau watershed as an example, the application practice, the modelsystem and precision of the model, the index system of evaluation as well as the practical aspects ofanalysis, so as to verify the feasibility of plug-in type of soil erosion empirical model system, and for theloess plateau soil and water loss control plan etc. The production practice to provide technical support.
