With the rapid development of aerospace technology more efforts are putting on t-he researches on the characteristics of light scattering and polarization of space targets.Based on the theory of semi-empirical statistical model of BRDF, the ArtificialImmune Network Genetic Algorithm were used to fit typical samples of the spectrumBRDF values measured in the laboratory. Effects on fitting results, errors and fittingtime of typical samples were discussed. Considering the Berger BRDF model and theSun BR-DF model as well as the spectral reflectance of the smooth samples, themirror reflectivity spectrum model suitable for smooth samples were derived and thecorrectness of the model were verified. It was also proved that the model can be usedto replace BRDF statistical models approximately by comparing the Mirror reflectancespectrum model with five parameters BRDF semi-empirical statistical model and sevenparameters BRDF semi-empirical statistical model. Moreover, appropriate BRDFsemi-empirical statistical model were used to fit the results according to the BRDFvalues in UV-Visible band of typical samples. With the BRDF simulation values inUV-Visible band and solar light as incidence source, the spectrum scattering brightnessof missile-like target was calculated. Characteristics of the polarization of GEOsatellite were studied. Besides, the spectrum scattering brightness and characteristics ofthe degree of polarization of various objects in different bands were studied, whichprovide certain credible references for band selection in target detection.
