Ecological function area in the south of Jiangxi is one of the national keyecological function areas. Due to the developing social economy and changing naturalconditions, ecological environment problems have become salient in this area. Thus itis of great importance to research the landscape change of this ecological functionarea, protect the ecological environment and ecological safety, maintain servicefunction and achieve harmony between human and nature.On the basis of the integration of scientific theories of landscape ecology and thepractice of the ecological function area, this thesis has analyzed the landscape patternchanges and their influence on ecological security patterns. There are two main partsin the analysis. In the first part, on the foundation of TM images in2000,2005and2010, and with the assistance of Erdas Imagine and ArcGIS software platforms, thisthesis has addressed remote sensing interpretation to the images of the ecologicalfunction area, formed landscape classified tables in three periods according to thelandscape type and corresponding land use type, and analyzed the spatial changes oflandscape patterns from2000to2010, landscape changes of main landscape types bylandscape pattern index calculated by Fragstats3.3. In the second part, on the basis ofthe analysis of landscape pattern changes and relevant theories of landscape ecologyand ecological safety, this thesis has analyzed ecological safety patterns in ecologicalfunction areas, put forward constructional principles of ecological safety patterns, andstrategies coping with ecological safety protection. Research results are:(1)In accordance with characteristics and research objectives, landscape isdivided into cultivated land, forest, grass land, water, building land and unused land,6of which constitute the landscape pattern of the ecological function area. From2000to2010, cultivated land area has decreased from333509hm2to328169hm2, forestarea from992955hm2to990807hm2; pressure of cultivated land protection hasredoubled, so does the difficulty to enlarge cultivated land area. The demand ofbuilding land is increasing, and at the same time, to some degree, there exist extensiveutility of building land. Ecological environment is faced with challenges.(2)This thesis has analyzed landscape pattern classified tables of2000,2005and2010, and concluded that cohesion index decreased from99.6834to99.6681whilefragmentized level increased; SHDI index increased from0.8617to0.8781and SHEI index from0.4809to0.4901, two of which showed increasing tendency.(3)With the integration of analysis on the research area, the thesis has proposedprinciples of ecological security pattern in the ecological function area, and putforward the necessity for enhancing protective consciousness of ecological landscape,admitting protective responsibility of ecological safety, developing new ecologicalindustry, building reasonable and use projects, stressing dynamic detection oflandscape changes and other management strategies.
