On the combat at sea, the accuracy of naval vessel designed for impact analysisis increasing demand. As the important naval power plant, condenser’s strengthanalysis of the impact is crucial to the entire ship’s vitality and combat. Thecomplex tube plate and pipe of condenser caused difficulties on the impact analysis.So it’s very important to equivalent the tube plate and pipe in the analysis of thewhole condenser. In the article, the tube plate and pipe is equivalent to a solid bodyusing the equivalent solid plate theoretical. The equivalent solid plate is applied tothe whole condenser impact analysis, to provide theoretical support and value basisfor the design and improvement of condenser.Introducing the equivalent solid plate theoretical and three methods of shockproofread deduces the effective plate elastic constants between the equivalent plateand the original orifice plate. Applied the constants to the finite element for staticand dynamic verification, and applied the equivalent method to condenser’sdistortion model, do the modal analysis in the condenser’s distortion and originalmodel, verified the applicability of the equivalent method.Using3D software Solidworks and finite element pre-processing softwareHypermesh build the whole condenser structure model, and doing the modalanalysis to verify the correct node correlation, mass distribution and memberconnections. In the vertical, longitudinal and horizontal analysis and contrast theverified condenser model using the equivalent static method, dynamic designanalysis method and time-domain simulation method. In the results of the threemethods, the stress and displacement distribution consistent trend, and theequivalent static and the time-domain simulation have the similar stress anddisplacement. dynamic design analysis method’s result is too large. The design loadvalues of equivalent static method present earlier, mainly for structural design stage.NRL synthesis of dynamic design analysis method bases on the absolute value of themaximum stress, out of consideration the phase difference between the differentmodes, the results of partial conservative. Time-domain simulation method uses themeasured load curve fitting, with wide adaptability and accuracy in three impactanalysis methods, as the main method of strength design in many countries.
