With the Digital Earth concept introduced, of which is an important part,Digital City has also been a rapid development. Digital City need to createa three-Dimensional visualization of dynamic landscape to accurately reflect theobjective world on which mankind depends.3D city modeling and digital cityμrelationship is similar to the relationship between the Map and GIS.3D city scenemodeling is the base step to establish Digital Cityμ and also a visual forms expressionsof Digital Cityμ.3D city modeling is mainly related to data acquisition,terrain modeling,terrainand feature matching,feature modeling.This paper firstly researches on the obtainedmethod of basic data which includes DEM,DOM,DLG as well as buildingtexture.Based on these methods,the original tin triangulation of research area isestablished by a lot of discrete elevation point. For this question that feature and terraindon·t match well,the method that embedding features·point and lines constraint is usedto make a local change for the D-TIN in order to make terrain and features match well.Insome digital city project,feature modeling is still by hand and depend on some modelingsoftware such as3DMAX, which takes a lot of time. In recent years, many scholarsbegan to study based on rule-driven modeling approach. Rule-driven modelingimplementation is based on a CGA modeling language,which programly generates allkinds of feature in forms of semantic and is a new hope of automationmodeling.Therefore,this paper studies on the modeling method based on CGA rule andcode some related script to establish the3d scene of research area.Based on these obtained models and terrain data,this paper develops three-dimensional GIS system with ArcGIS Engine10.1and realizes basic GISfunction.Finally,the3d scene of research area is published with WebGL,IIS as well asArcGIS Online to realize internet visualization and information sharing.
