Research On Hydrodynamic Characteristics Of The Rotational Supercavitation Projectile

In order to keep supercavitating projectile a steady movement in the air andwater, the supercavitating projectile is made a rotation around the axis of itself whenlaunching. The thesis makes a deep research on hydrodynamics of supercavitatingprojectile by Numerical simulation and forces on the influence of revolvingspeed,cavitation numbers and attack angel on hydrodynamics characteristics. Themain topics of this thesis are as followsUsing numerical simulation,the process of classical rotationalsupercavitating projectile sailing is given. Then compair the consequence ofsemi-empirical formula and Numerical simulation, the validity of Numericalsimulation is verified. At the same time,as the disk cavitation an example,the rule ofrotational disk cavitation hydrodynamics has been given.Based on average multiphase flow model, the reseach of supercavitatingprojectile with no attack angel on hydrodynamics characteristics has been given.The influence of revolving speed and cavitation numbers on hydrodynamicscharacteristics has been analyzed. The rule of drag coefficient, pressure coefficientof body, shape of cavity and the change of tangential speed of tail worked byrevolving speed and cavitation numbers is given.Based on average multiphase flow model, the conclusion of revolvingsupercavitating projectile with small attack angel has been given. The influence ofcavitation numbers and attack angel on hydrodynamics characteristics has beenanalyzed. The rule of drag coefficient, pressure coefficient of body, shape of cavityand the change of tangential speed of tail worked by cavitation numbers and attackangel is given.
