The stability analysis of thin walled beam structure with perfect simplecomponents and simple boundary conditions has been very mature. But in actualengineering design in order to satisfy the requirements in structure projectimplementation and improve the structure the utilization rate, we need to considerthe complicated structure form and boundary conditions. The research object of thispaper is the thin-walled U-beam with reinforced columns. Its structureiscomplicated. And researchers need to analyze its load-carrying capacity underdifferent constraint conditions. The analysis accords with the actual engineeringrequirements. This paper bases on some classical stability theory of thin-walledbeams, computer aided tools and test equipment to study the load-carrying capacityof thin-walled metal structures.Mainly the following several aspects work have beencarried out:(1)The research status at home and abroad on the load-carrying capacity ofthin-walled beam structure are summarized and analyzedin this paper. There is abrief description of the characteristics of thin-walled beam structureand the maincontents of this paper;(2)According to the thin-walled beam theory the calculation method ofbuckling critical load about thin-walled beam structures, the post bucklingequilibrium path and the ultimate bearing capacity are analyzed. And thenthecriticabuckling load and ultimate load-carrying capacity are calculated according tothe actual beam structure parameters and stress;(3)The simulation analysis of thin-walled beam structure by using the Abaqusfinite element analysis software mainly consists of eigenvalue buckling analysis andultimate load-caryying capacity analysis. Compared with the simulation result andthe theoretical values found theoretical results and simulation results are similar. The load-carrying capacity affectedby initial geometric imperfections and flangeisemphatically analyzed;(4)Complete experimental study on bearing performance of metal thin-walledbeam.By the analysis of load displacement curve and the load strain curve get testthe bearing performance and validate the result ofthe theoretical analysisand finiteelement analysis. In general, the main work of this paper is the research status at home andabroad, theoretical calculation and simulation analysis and the experimental analysis. From the theoretical, simulation and experimental analysis three aspects considerthe load carrying properties of thin-walled beam structure. The research make reference for engineering.
