In recent years, the nonlocal spatial optical solitons have attracted more andmore attention for its potential applications such as optical information processing, optical connection, all-optical switches and so on. In this paper, we study thesolutions of (1+1)-dimensional,(2+1)-dimensional strongly nonlocal spatial opticalsolitons in nematic liquid crystals, the motion variation of solitons, we also study theconditions of generating solitons, the impacts of external factors to optical solitons, such as material and inducing light. At first, we use the evolution equation of spatial optical solitons in nematicliquid crystal, combining with the condition of strong nonlocal, eventually we get theevolution equation of strongly nonlocal spatial optical solitons in nematic liquidcrystals. Thus, we get the solutions of (1+1)-dimensional spatial optical solitonsaccording this. Second, we explore the condition of generating (1+1)-dimensionalspatial optical solitons in nematic liquid crystals, the study found that(1+1)-dimensional strongly nonlocal spatial optical solitons were generated when thedielectric anisotropy of optical materials, the elastic of materials, the intensity ofinducing light, the inducing light wavelength satisfy a certain relationship. Later, wegive the solutions in the form of soliton, dipole solitons and several other high-ordersolitons, Finally, we numerically calculated the distributions of light field, theinducing light intensity of solitons and found that as the increase of the order, thepeak number of intensity distribution would also gradually increase.Next, we also use the evolution equation of strongly nonlocal spatial opticalsolitons in nematic liquid crystals. We solve the solutions of (2+1)-dimensionalspatial optical solitons, while studies have shown that (2+1)-dimensional stronglynonlocal spatial optical solitons would be generated when the dielectric anisotropy ofoptical materials, the elastic constant of materials, the intensity of inducing light, inducing light wavelength meet a certain correspondence. Later, we give thedistributions of light field and the intensity of a few low-order optical solitons andthey were carried out numerical calculations at last.At last, we discuss the influence factors of the external factors, such as materials and inducing light, to (1+1)-dimensional,(2+1)-dimensional strongly nonlocalspatial optical solitons in nematic liquid crystals, the study found that the solitonbeam width was gradually increasing as the inducing light wavelength and the elasticconstant of nematic liquid crystal increased; the beam width of spatial optical solitonbecome more and more narrow as the dielectric anisotropy of nematic liquid crystalsincreases instead.
