Under the background of shortage of the world energy more outstanding, seekingenergy-saving lighting solutions will play an important role in the world study。For the manyadvantages of LED,low power consumption, high efficiency, high stability, it stands out inmany environmental lighting solutions. Improving the performance of phosphor have a veryimportant contribution to the LED development. In this paper, the three kinds of differentcharacteristics of the silicate phosphor have been researched. It has some significance for theimprovement the properties of silicate phosphors and development of new work silicatephosphors.We have synthesized Sr2-xSiO4: xEu2+series of samples by sol-gel method and studied itsproperties under the light of365nm. When different concentration of Eu2+has been doped insample, they have different properties in the study. In the excitation and emission spectrumexcitation peak at288nm, emission peak is located at470nm and532nm.In differentconcentration of Eu2+Sr2SiO4has two kinds of crystal structures which are Monoclinic andOrthorhombic. Band structure and density of states with different crystal structures affectingthe Eu2+transition was studied, and we measured the Fluorescence lifetime of Eu2+in the twosites.We have synthesized Ba5-xSiO4Cl6:xEu2+series of samples by sol-gel method. Thephosphor emits strong blue light under UV lamp.The sample absorbs the near UV light andemits light of441nm. Different coordination numbers of Eu2+bring out different emissionspectrum.We explained that the concentration quenching and temperature quenching of thesample in the thesis.We have synthesized Ca3-xSiO4Cl2:xEu2+series of samples by sol-gel method. Wediscussed the concentration of Eu2+in the sample affects the intensity of emissionspectrum.When the Eu2+doping concentration reached0.75mol%the505nm peak got itsstrongest intensity.When the ambient temperature is300℃,the intensity of emissiondecreased by35%.
