Groundwater is one of the essential sources in people’s producing activities anddaily life. It is of practical significance to search for and orientate the groundwaterprecisely. The natural electric field detection technology and detecting instrument thisdissertation studies have a broad prospect in its application. It can be applied to threeaspects:(1) The exploitation of groundwater for production and living. For example,to seek and orientate the groundwater in the arid area.(2) The prevention andcontrolling of water disasters in coal mines. A scientific and reliable preventingprogram for safe-mining can be made by precisely orientating the location of coal andthe distribution of the groundwater around it and the goafs in the old kiln.(3) Thechecking of dam leaking. To precisely fix the leaking position provides a scientificreference for making an dependable program of reinforcing the dam. On grounds ofthe theory of natural electric field detection, the author constructs a basic model fordetecting, based on which designs the hardware circuit for detecting instruments andproposes data analyzing method. Those circuit and method are applied to detectionand makes a good effect. Compared with other methods as geophysical prospecting tofind water, the natural electric field detection is the only way to identify thegroundwater and underground fissure. It solves the problem that the geophysicalprospecting method can not distinguish the groundwater with the underground solidrock and the problem of multiple solutions in data analyzing.The dissertation studies the technology of natural electric field detection in detail,such as analyzing the theory of natural electric field detection, constructing thedetecting model, designing the circuit of detecting instruments, proposing the methodof data analyzing, making detecting experiments outside and so on. What the studymainly achieves is as follows:(1) This dissertation analyzes the theory of natural electric field detection andthe formation mechanism of groundwater signals and underground fissure signals. Italso construct the mathematical model for natural electric field detection.(2) The designing of hardware circuit. The author gives a detail analysis to thehardware circuit designing of natural electric field detection. This detecting system consists of the processor TMS320C6726which is produced by TI company recently asits MPU(main processing unit), including the function of data connection, datastorage, PC communication and so on. In addition, the author designs the circuit forsimulating signal processing of the natural electric field signals, including amplifyingcircuit, filter circuit and so on.(3) This dissertation introduces the basic method of analyzing data and proposesthe method of natural electric field signal analysis. Based on the method ofZOOM-FFT, the dissertation combines it with the method of spectrum peak searching,and realizes connecting the characteristic signals of the natural electric fielddetection.(4) The field testing experiments. By testing in the field, this study verifies thatthe detecting instrument and the detecting approach can precisely detecting thegroundwater and underground fissure.
