Buxus ichangensis Hatusima is belonging to Buxaceae, narrowly located in the Changjiang River within Three Gorges Reservoir fluctuation zone, and it grows at an altitude of 30-300 meters of river bank, river rock or sunny office. It has a great ecological significance for preventing river erosion Because of its long-term adaptation for fluctuations along the river, it can withstand flooding, and can be used for the Three Gorges ecological restoration, so there is a high value for conservation.Because of the current endangered status, its conservation biology research is of great significance. Under our laboratory conditions and the existing experimental feasibility, combined with recent plant protection research trends, We do the study of ecology, biology, reproductive biology perspective preliminary study, and the purpose of safeguarding the endangered species is to provide protection measures for scientific and effective system, and provide sufficient material to conduct in-depth research.Up to now,1000 plants have been nutured. Main conclusions are as follows:1. Through field survey and analyzed information we know before the flooding Buxus ichangensis Hatusima mainly located in Yichang, Padang, Zigui, Wushan, Yunyang and cities of the Changjiang River tributary within fluctuation zone in 2002, a total of six populations, and mainly range 74-114 m above sea level, latitude 30°52’-31°03’, longitude 110°55’-109°49’. In 2008, through detailed investigation, we learned that the distribution of wild ichangensis river area have been completely submerged.2. Buxus ichangensis Hatusima grows very slowly, and average growth is only 10cm or so, and also setting rate is very low, only about 2%. The average seed set is low, only about 2%.3. The results of different concentrations of different hormones shows that ABT200mg·L-1 shows best on hard wood cuttings., and the same as soft wood cuttings. Two kinds of materials shows best for 4h in the ABT200mg·L-1. The sand was the best matrix with the highest rooting rate. 0.3-0.4 cm diameteris the best for two kinds. After a layer of shade cloth treatment it has good rooting ability. It shows best to take root on June 20 th, Cutting through the process of measuring changes in nutritional content of the object, we found hormone treatment significantly influenced the content of nutrients, indicating that plant hormones influenced the physiological activity, and affected the rooting process.4. With 0.1% mercuric chloride solution and 2% 84 with the use of sterilization, contamination rate was significantly lower survival rate improved significantly. Boxwood stems from Yichang to consider the survival rate, with 0.1% mercuric chloride solution and 2% of 84 is better with the sterilization, or 0.1% mercuric chloride 3min+2% 84 6min suitable solution. Thus 6-BA2.0 mg·L-1 and NAA0.5 mg·L-1 combination of the best rates on ichangensis start. Value-added culture are not always effective, value-added multiple low, comparatively speaking, MS+0.7 mg·L-1 6-BA+0.1 mg·L-1 TDZ+2.0 mg·L-1 GA3 high rooting multiple, optional make appropriate subculture medium.5. Reasons and the suggestions for protection of the endangered. Environmental factors and their sub-factors caused it in danger. There are not wild resources, so we have to strengthen exsitu conservation to protect existing resources. Accelerate the propagation of conservation for existing resources and collect folk Buxus ichangensis bonsai resources, moved them to Botanical Garden or the forest farm for exsitu conservation. Intensify propaganda and really raise people’s awareness of conservation;...
