Beginning with the study and the ponder over the development of American strategymanagement as well as the corporate culture theory, this article points out the American"weakly regards" in the culture and analyses the relationship between strategy and corporateculture, meaning to provide some references for the Chinese practice of strategicmanagement.Most of American management always consider strategic management from the economicsside, they would like to use measurable analysis to make strategy decision, and few peopleconsider the strategy from the culture side. However, according to the analysis of relationshipbetween strategy and corporate culture, we discover that only pay attention to data analysis isuseless. Strategic management is a complex process, and the character of human beingdecides that the company should relate to some cultural factors such as human values in thestrategic management.Therefore, we can affirm, strategic management is not only science, but also culture. Strategyand culture would not be separated.
