Study On Defective Automobile Product Recall Management

The defective automobile product recall administration system has become a mature administration system in United State, Japan and Europe. Along with the"Defective Automobile Product Recall Administration Regulation"came into practice in our country, some works has been started. The author based on the situation of my country used mature methods and experiences of developed country studied these questions. Following is the primary contents.The first is about the basis theory of system of defective automobile product recall, referencing to several definitions of product recall. The purpose and significance of studying defective automobile product recall administration system are discussed. Then analyzed the defective automobile product recall administration system characteristic and actuality of United State, Japan and Europe. This part leads to the follow discussion. Based on them, models the recalls process and presents empirical evidence of why some recalls are initiated by the manufacturer and others are launched by the government. Then several factors affecting response rates to automobile recall are analyzed. These conclusions are validated by using the automobile recall sample data of United States. Based on these analysis results, we put forward some suggestions and strategies which are benefit to defective automobile product recall administration from supervisor, operator and consumer. At last, We studied the contribution of automobile recalls on traffic accidents. From empirical study, we found recalls play an important role in reducing the number of traffic accidents.
