Psychological contract, in broad sense, means the subjective understanding and cognition to the mutual responsibility between the employers and the employees in exchange relationship. The employers' psychological contract is the employers' understanding and cognition to the mutual responsibility, which includes the employers' understanding to the employers' responsibility and the employees' one. Many western psychologists have researched on psychological contract during the past decades, and have made plenty of achievements. In recent years, the theory of psychological contract has been introduced into China, and some elementary mainland study began in our psychology section. However, most of the researches focus on the employees rather than the employers, not only overseas but also in China. So the study begins under this background..Based on analyzing documents, phone interview, open investigation and forecast analyzing, we samples about 169 privately running owners scattered in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Zhejiang with our questionnaires. Then we disposes the data with item analyzing, exploring factor analyzing and ANOVA method to analyze the content and construct dimension of the employers' psychological contract in China, we also talks over the difference under the various people variables. The result shows that the employers' responsibility is comprised by four dimensions, which are transactional responsibility , life responsibility , developmental responsibility and working responsibility. And the employees' one is composed of transactional responsibility, loyal responsibility, developmental responsibility and. working responsibility . Finally this paper points out the limit of our research, and discusses the result, the significance and future orient of our study.
