Research On The Structure Of The Recreational Belt Around Metropolis (ReBAM) In Wuhan City

As is well known, China is experiencing a rapid conversion from sightseeing tourism to vocation tourism in recent years, Recreational Belt around Metropolis (ReBAM) which has special regional characteristics and well environment has become the preferred destination choosed by citizens. The situation becomes the major trend in tourism development around the cities and it has caught more and more attentions from many researchers. Therefore, the first thing to develop tourist of city suburbs is to get a grasp of the structure of ReBAM. Moreover, the research on the ReBAM of Wuhan city can deduce the general patterns of the landscape structure of suburbs so as to provide a reference to the similar cases.The combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis is applied in this thesis. And this thesis is focused on the current status of ReBAM in Wuhan city including the structure of products, spatial structure, the structure of tourist market and the policies, also optimizes the previous research from these four aspects, and then draws a conclusion. The main points of this thesis are as follows.In the first chapter: This part explains the meaning and significance of this research on ReBAM, introduces the newest progress of ReBAM both at home and abroad, also shows the content, innovative points and methods of the research.In the second chapter: This part analyzes the structure of ReBAM in Wuhan city. Firstly, it introduces elementary theories of ReBAM and basic survey of the researching area. Collecting many materials about the scenic spots of ReBAM, this chapter uses the complex classification as a way to analyze the structure of products. Based on the structure of products, the radius of gyration is used in analyzing the spatial structure. What is more, based on the data from investigation, the author studies the age, the main motivation of inhabitants who have attends ReBAM, the most popular tourist spots, the time schedule of tourists in cities, the cost of travel and the main problems of ReBAM. In the end, the prediction of tendency on ReBAM is also given. This thesis analyzes the policies of development of ReBAM in Wuhan from macro and micro point of view.In the third chapter, this part optimizes the structure and products of ReBAM, according to the tendency of city dwellers' ReBAM and the policies of the country and Hubei province. In addition, based on the regional economic theory, the theory oftraveling market, the relational model between psychological statuses of tourists and landscapes of destination, it optimizes the spatial structure of ReBAM in Wuhan city. From subdividing the traveling market, this part also expands the traveling market structure from population attribute, tourist behavior and frequency of their visiting. In the end, this part optimizes the theory from nation's policy and the trend of ReBAM. In the fourth chapter, the conclusions and prospects of this thesis are given.
