Tourism is an industry with little investment and more profits. A different style of touring resource would bring a different experience;a different landscape would give tourists a different spiritual feeling. People with different educational background and research field would have more or less professional interests in landscape. For example, architects show interests in the architecture with peculiar characteristics;geographers pay attention to landforms and climate;businessmen show concern about economic development in scenery spot, etc. Tour is a consuming spiritual activity for the purpose of entertainment and relaxation. It is helpful, therefore, to improve tour condition and satisfy most of the tourists' demand so as to increase the touring flow and gain more profits.With development of mass media and more emphasis on leisurely life, tourism has become one of the favorable resting styles. To some extent, the perception of touring image influences the choice of tour place. Previously touring motivation is to visit high mountains and big rivers. Nowadays more and more people hope to enjoy a tour which is an integration of knowledge, entertainment, experience and appreciation.City is the assembly center of human material properties and the container of human spirits and culture. It is an ideal place for modern life since cities are comprehensive complex of economics, culture and politics. If such an ideal place possesses a beautiful view, a long history and a unique humane landscape, it will attract more talents, provides more opportunity of investment and gains more economic profits.Urban tour has become a new trend which promotes the development of touring industry. Meanwhile, some problems arise such as how to open up good views and build image of tour cities;how tour cities bring us an aesthetic temperament and interest of tourism.This thesis makes an analysis on urban tourism aesthetics from the perspectives of industry, aesthetics and sociology. It is found after my investigation and research that urban tour aesthetics is closely related to some hot topics today such as tour market development in China, construction of a beautiful landscape and special image of a tour city and reconstruction and utilization of some historical architectures. Finally it discusses how to attract tourists by the material beauty of the cities in China.
