The problem of knowledge work productivity, was considered as "the21 century problem" by Drucker. In the aspect of theoretical research, themanagement scholars haven't even made the concept "knowledge work"clear, so they can't solve the problem of "how to improve the knowledgework productivity", but in the aspect of social practice, the businessprocess reengineering, the learning organization and other modernmanagement method turned out. in general, the management workersdon't realize that the problem they faced and tried their best to solve, isthe "21 century problem", they work hard and confused, they want a newtheory to direct their practice. this passage try to prove that the modernmanagement methods are the way to improve the knowledge workproductivity, and provide a new visual for the further research andpractice. the whole passage was divided into 7 parts. Part1 is the preface.The writer mainly introduced the background and the implication of thispassage, the status and the limitation of the current research of knowledgework. In the foundation of this, the writer introduce the main part of thispassage, including the research object and the research method. Part 2 isthe main part of this passage. The writer redefine knowledge work fromthe aspect of procedure and standard, and make the concept of knowledgeworker. Finally, raise the difficult point and the contradiction of how toimprove the knowledge work productivity by analysis the characteristicof knowledge work. Part 3 is the core of this passage. The writer providethe thinking of how to solve the problem of knowledge work. There are four clues, all raised from the characteristic of knowledge work. Part 4 begin to introduce the business process reengineering. First of all, the writer introduced the characteristic of business process reengineering, then combined knowledge work and business process reengineering as one of the modern management methods to solve the problem of knowledge work productivity. Part 5 begin to introduce the learning organization. First of all, the writer introduced the characteristic of the learning organization, then combined knowledge work and the learning organization as one of the modern management methods to solve the problem of knowledge work productivity. Part 6 is the precedent analysis. With the empirical analysis of the crystal company , the writer initially proved that the business process reengineering is truly the method of solving the problems brought by knowledge work. Part 7 is the end. here the writer conclude the whole passage.
