A Study On Reducing The Cycle Time Of Machine Cleaning Process In TSKF

With the fast development of manufacturing in China, the competition is moresevere so the level and the tool of management need to be improved .This thesis is written with three main parts, First part is describing the situationof the manufacturing especially the drug manufacturing. The competition has alreadyshifted from Quality to Cost. So improvement the efficiency and reduction the cost isthe focus to all companies. At same time, Lean and 6 sigma thinking and toolsdevelop fast in China and it has been a powerful weapon. This raise the direction ofour study, The site should reduce the cycle time of machine cleaning process toimprove the efficiency .Second part is introducing the Leansigma thinking and tools. Including Leanthinking and tools of Lean, the idea of six sigma and tools. EspeciallyDMAIC(define ,measure, analysis, improvement and control), KAIZEN BLITZ andSMED(single minute exchange die) which are used in this paper.Third part is describing the project of reduction the cycle time of machinecleaning time for compression machine and capsule filling machine in TSKF. Thisproject focus on the changeover cleaning of pressing machine and major cleaning ofcapsule filling machine. Finally we reduce 30% cleaning time of the target machinewith collecting data and analyzing data and using tools of DMAIC, KAIZEN BLITZand SMED...
