Study On The Present Situation And Development About Chinese Supervisory Industry

Chinese construction supervisory industry has developed quickly since Chinese pushed construction supervisory system in 1988. With the fast development of the construction industry and the continuous increasing of the market international degree, especially after the entry of the WTO, China will give foreign construction project management enterprises the "citizen's treatment" in a short period of time by the rules of the WTO. Chinese construction supervisory industry, as the main form of construction management consulting service industry currently, it will confront great opportunity and challenge but not before. Basing on volumes of literature, this paper summarizes the development process and the realistic characteristics of Chinese construction supervisory industry. Contrasting general situation about foreign construction supervisory(project management), basing on the theory of strategy management, construction management and project management, this paper puts forward the existent problems and the developing strategy of Chinese construction supervisory industry, and it draws the conclusion of that the construction supervisory companies must turn to provide the whole process, all-directions service from single service in order to connect with the international construction market. This paper has some value for supervisory companies to make strategy development plan, teaching about the construction supervisory, and the practitioner who wants to knowthe trend about construction supervisory.
