Corporate Governance Of Commercial Banks Of Our Country: Analysis From The View Of Capital Structure

The reform of commercial banks of china is one of most important part of the (?)omic system reform. Government ,financial supervise department, enterprise circles, academic circles and public are all very interested in every stage of the reform of commercial banks. According to the agreement of WTO our country should cancel the restrict of foreign banks progressively in five years after china enter into WTO in December 2001. Foreign banks can offer Renminbi and foreign currency to anybody or any enterprise in everywhere within country's border. In other word Chinese banks will complete with a lot world standard foreign banks in the year 2006. It reinforce the importance and necessity of the reform of commercial banks. And the most important thing of the reform is to make corporate governance more perfect. This thesis is analysis commercial banks from bank's capital structure.We can divide our commercial banks into state owned commercial banks, Share-holding commercial banks and city commercial banks from the angle of corporate governance structure. But in my thesis only study four State owned commercial banks and twelve Share-holding commercial banks which occupy the most part of market.First, in the second part of the thesis I introduce the fulfillment experience about corporate governance oversees and domestic, and the meaning of study corporate governance.Second, I present the particularity of bank's corporate governance and bank's capital structure in the third-part of the thesis. The theory of bank's corporate governance is mostly follow general theory of corporate governance. But in fact it also have its own characteristics. The bank is the enterprise which overwhelming majority to operate the monetary business, capital gold is few, its debt funds occupy the property total amount.Third, I analysis present condition of our country commercial bank structural from view of the capital structural in the four-part of the thesis. Study the present condition of rights capital and obligation capital of the state-owned commercial bank and share-holding commercial banks in a specific way.Finally, the last one part of thesis I give some suggestion to perfect our country bank governance construction: Adjust the capital structure. In other world is to perfect ourcountry commercial bank through the adjustment of the ownership of a share construction and obligation construction.
